Carmín de Peumo, Concha y Toro’s icon Carmenere by winemaker Ignacio Recabarren, has once again been recognized by one of the world’s most influential media.

Wine Spectator magazine’s weekly Insider* newsletter rated the 2013 vintage of Carmín de Peumo at an outstanding 93 points, thereby confirming its undisputed leadership for receiving the highest score the magazine had ever granted a Carmenere of that vintage.

Since its debut, Carmín de Peumo has consistently obtained the highest accolades, affirming the enological quality and consistency of the country’s first icon Carmenere as well as positioning Peumo’s terroir as the best for the production of the variety, establishing Carmín de Peumo as the Best Carmenere of the World.

“Elegant and powerful, with loads of dark berry, cherry and currant flavors, featuring notes of dark olive and allspice. The leafy finish is long and rich, showing some creamy hints to the dark chocolate accents.” Kim Marcus
