The exclusive wine club, Solera Blind Tasting Fraternity (SBTF), which is led by Ángel de la Fuente and includes major New York wine collectors among its members, held a blind tasting to find the “World’s Best 1995 Vintage Cabernet Sauvignon.” The participants tasted four outstanding Old World and four New World Cabernet Sauvignons, all from the 1995 vintage.

The attendees, including preeminent US sommelier Paul Roberts, chose Don Melchor as the world’s best Cabernet Sauvignon, deeming it an incredibly elegant wine that is both youthful and deep. The award is yet another great honor for Don Melchor, crafted by winemaker Enrique Tirado.
