The 2014 Don Melchor received an outstanding 94 points and was singled out as the best Cabernet Sauvignon of the 2014 vintage in The Wine Advocate’s latest report on Chile, published on the website of the renowned wine critic Robert Parker.

The report by Luis Gutiérrez, who is responsible for tasting Chilean wines for Robert Parker, praised the 2014 Don Melchor for “combining power with elegance” and for its “refined tannins and superb balance.”

With 28 vintages in the market, Don Melchor, the first icon wine in the Chilean industry, has established the Puente Alto terroir as one of the best on the planet for the production of Cabernet Sauvignon and has confirmed the wine by winemaker Enrique Tirado as one of the best representatives of Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile, and indeed, the world.
