Technical director and Chief Winemaker of Concha y Toro, Marcelo Papa, traveled to the states of New Jersey and Rhode Island to visit key accounts and meet Jesica Vargas, Wine Enthusiast renowned publication journalist.
Marcelo Papa, Technical director and Chief Winemaker at Viña Concha y Toro, carried out an intense schedule of activities in the states of New Jersey and Rhode Island in the United States, with the objective of strengthening the presence of Viña Concha y Toro’s premium brand portfolio in this strategic market, including Amelia Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Marques de Casa Concha Heritage, and Terrunyo Carmenere.
The agenda included training sessions for the sales forces of different distribution channels in the region, seminars, lunches with key clients, and personalized tastings with specialized media. Among these activities, a standout moment was an exclusive tasting with Jessica Vargas, specialist journalist and reviewer responsible for South American wines at the prestigious Wine Enthusiast magazine.
During the meeting, a vertical tasting was held featuring the last three vintages of Amelia Chardonnay and Amelia Pinot Noir, both from the Limarí Valley origin. The 2023 vintages of both wines were recently awarded 93 and 92 points, respectively, in the June–July 2025 issue of Wine Enthusiast.
This latest trip by Marcelo to the U.S. market undoubtedly helped reinforce the positioning of our Luxury Brands wine portfolio in the country, while also strengthening relationships with key accounts, distributors, and sommeliers.
