In its most recent edition, Wine Spectator awarded 91 points to Marques de Casa Concha Syrah 2010 from the Maipo Valley, placing it among the top-ranked Chilean Syrahs of the vintage.

The same US publication gave Marques de Casa Concha Sauvignon Blanc 2011 from the Leyda Valley the best score to date for a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc from this vintage and chose it as one of the Daily Wine Picks (March 19) selected by the magazine’s editors.

Wine Enthusiast delivered a score of 90 points for the 2010 Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon, making it one of the best-ranked Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon’s of the vintage.

For Marcelo Papa, the winemaker in charge of the line, “the quality and consistency of Marques de Casa Concha—and of Cabernet Sauvignon in particular—are primarily due to the company’s desire to produce a wine of this level. Obviously, the origin and selection of the grapes is decsive, along with a strong technical team of viticulturists and enologists, in complying with that desire. And the scores obtained back all of the work that goes into these wines,” the winemaker concludes.
