The innovative line of wines known for its diversity of varietals and origins traveled to the country of the future for an exclusive event
Within the framework of the VCT Annual APAC Event, this past September 22nd, a sophisticated lunch with Marques de Casa Concha was held at the Panamericana restaurant on Sentosa Island, Singapore. Representatives of key local and Asian-Pacific businesses, buyers, media, sales promoters and distributors were invited to experience the diversity of Marques and South American cuisine.
Guided by Yoo Na Lee (Regional Marketing Manager – Fine Wine) and Fazil Mohammad (Sommelier from Concha y Toro), participants did a blind tasting in which they had to guess the varietal of each of the wines served. With only two chances to identify the varietals, only a few were able to correctly identify the four wines presented.
Ceviche and empanadas were just some of the delicious traditional South American foods guests were able to enjoy after the tasting.
About Marques de Casa Concha
Marques de Casa Concha is the brand with the greatest diversity of denominations of origin in Chile. This means that there is a wide variety of vineyards present in a single line, covering all of the country’s different terroirs.
The traditional line of Marques de Casa Concha is composed of 7 varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah, Carmenere, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, each of which expresses the character, tradition and nobility of the Chilean wines. This line also includes Marques de Casa Concha Black Label, the line’s first red blend, which confirms the potential of the renowned terroir of Puente Alto for the production of high-end wines.
Moreover, the commitment to wholly represent the diversity of Chile has led the brand to offer a dynamic portfolio of wines, including the Limited Editions of Marques de Casa Concha Rosé; and Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines of Bio-Bio Valley origin.
