The special Buying Guide edition of Wine & Spirits magazine once again highlighted the 2014 Terrunyo Carmenere Lot Nº 1. The wine, which was rated 94 points in the June edition, was named the Best Carmenere of Chile and included on its 2016 Top 100 Wines list.
Terrunyo Carmenere, by winemaker Ignacio Recabarren, has been included on this prestigious list for four consecutive years, twice for the Terrunyo Carmenere Lot Nº1 (2013 and 2014 vintages) and twice for the 2011 and 2012 vintages of the line’s original Carmenere, confirming yet again the brand’s position as the leading Carmenere in Chile and the world.
“Peumo is one of the prime areas for Carmenere in Chile.(…) 2014 was a good vintage for Carmenere, providing this vibrant, refreshing Terrunyo, its herbal scents of red fruit gracing a medium- bodied wine with soft tannins.”
Wine & Spirits began publishing its Annual Buying Guide in 1986. Each edition includes its list of the 100 Best Wines of the Year, compiled by its editors by reviewing the wines tasted over the previous 12 months and choosing the best examples from around the world
