The June edition of Wine & Spirits magazine singled out the 2016 vintage of the Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc with the highest score ever given a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc: an impressive 95 points.

This accolade positions Terrunyo as Chile’s top-ranked Sauvignon Blanc in a specialized US medium and marks an important milestone for the line and makes it a benchmark for the variety in the international wine industry.

The Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc by winemaker Ignacio Recabarren was also praised in the same edition of the magazine as the best Sauvignon Blanc of the New World after tasting more than 300 examples of the variety from Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, United States, and Chile over the past 12 months.

“…Planted close to the Pacific, it allows winemaker Ignacio Recabarren to craft a white defined by electric tension, along with mineral and citrus notes. In a cool harvest like 2016, this offers tart white fruit and a deliciously spicy note towards the end. A classic.”  Patricio Tapia.
