Viña Concha y Toro’s Terrunyo line stood out in this year’s competition, which focuses on the finest wines from the New World.
The 2011 Terrunyo Riesling topped the list of winners with trophies for the Best White and Best Riesling. The line’s red wines also had a strong showing, with the Best New World Carmenere Trophy for the 2013 Terrunyo Carmenere Lot Nº1 and a Gold Medal for the 2013 Terrunyo Syrah.
The 2015 Six Nations Wine Challenge, which takes place in Sydney, Australia, is the only competition in the world in which the participating wines enter at the specific invitation of a judge from their home country. This year’s judges were Eduardo Brethauer of Chile, Fabricio Portelli of Argentina, Huon Hooke of Australia, Bob Campbell MW of New Zealand, Michael Fridjhon of South Africa, and Dan Berger of USA, who chose the winners from among the 600 participating wines.
