Concha y Toro

LORENA MORA Terrunyo, Trio

Her experience and talent are undeniably imprinted on her wines, marked by high fruit expressions, complexity, and profound elegance.

Lorena has a long and successful career as a winemaker at Viña Concha y Toro. As an agronomist with a degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Lorena has extensive knowledge in winemaking, as well as in fruit growing.

With experience in outstanding Chilean wineries such as Santa Rita and William Fevre, Lorena joined Viña Concha y Toro in 2009. She quickly became part of the winemaking team of the Terrunyo and Amelia lines, two of the company’s most notable Ultra-Premium brands, led by Ignacio Recabarren, one of the most outstanding winemakers in the industry and an obligatory reference for Chilean wines.
Besides, Lorena works as assistant-winemaker to Winemaker ́s lot and Trio as well as for private brands developed for The Wine Society.

Her work with Ignacio led her to specialize in Sauvignon Blanc, a variety of which she is a particular admirer today, because of the delicate work it involves and the need to keep all the senses and intuition alert. Later, she incorporates Cabernet Sauvignon to date, leading both varieties for the Terrunyo line.

Her passion for the vineyard is reflected in her taste for nature and interests in native forest research and gardening. Besides, she is fond of outdoor sports such as surfing and trekking and enjoys playing the guitar and drawing.
