The latter is a statement made by Peter Richards MW, Regional Chairman of Decanter World Wine Awards 2020, in the article “Chile: 15 award-winning wines from the south” published in Decanter.com.

 Richard explained that the reason for his assertion is “that these areas are a little cooler and rainier, which means a longer growing season, and often they are grown dry, without irrigation. That’s great because it makes them elegant, refreshing wines, wines with a sense of place.”

 In August of last year, DWWA judges tasted and rated several wines from this area of Chile. Among the top 15, Marques de Casa Concha Edición Limitada Chardonnay 2018 and Marques de Casa Concha Rosé Cinsault 2019 stood out with notable scores.

Once again, Marques de Casa Concha wines receive excellent scores reaffirming their consistency.
