Amelia Chardonnay stands out as the highest-rated white wine in The Drinks Business Chile report 2025

The recently released 2024 vintage of Amelia Chardonnay was highlighted the best-rated white wine in the annual “Chile Tasting” report, conducted by Master of Wine Patrick Schmitt and published by the prestigious industry magazine The Drinks Business. 

In the newly released September issue of the british magazine The Drinks Business, the “Chile Tasting” report, led by MW Patrick Schmitt, the new 2024 vintage of Amelia Chardonnay was highlighted with an outstanding score of 96 points, making it the top-rated white wine in the report.  

In this edition, Schmitt praised the wine, stating: “Probably Chile’s greatest expression of Chardonnay, Amelia is the top of the pile white from Concha y Toro, and uses grapes from Limarí’s Quebrada Seca sub-region, which was planted in 2009. The wine is outstanding, with a lovely oily-textured core, and notes of toasted marshmallow, peanuts, pear and peach. As you sip it, more flavours abound, with fresh lemon and rock salt emerging, mixed with crushed chalk and freshly-struck matchstick. Wonderful in being creamy and citric at the same time, offering both richness and refreshment.” 

In the same report, Amelia Pinot Noir was also recognized, earning impressive 94+ points. The British Master of Wine described it as “elegant and layered, with freshness balancing the darker Berry fruit, complemented by a peppery twist. Youthful and ageworthy, with impressive complexity.” 

These new accolades for both Amelia labels not only reaffirm the outstanding winemaking potential behind these wines but also further solidify Limarí Valley as one of Chile’s premier regions for producing world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
