The specialized media, Vinous, recently published its 2024 report on Chilean wines titled “The Chilean Coast: Where the Pacific Shapes Vibrant Reds and Whites,” where Concha y Toro’s high-end portfolio received outstanding scores.
In the 2024 version of the report with a remarkable 97 points, Amelia Chardonnay 2022 was recognized as one of the best white wines which Joaquín Hidalgo described as: “This greenish-yellow wine reveals aromas of lime, herbs, green apple and pineapple. The true difference lies on the palate: a saline, compact and vibrant Chardonnay with a dry, vivid and enduring finish. Undoubtedly one of the finest white wines in South America.”
Amelia Pinot Noir 2022 received an impressive score of 96 points and was distinguished as the top-rated Pinot Noir in the entire report. The media described this wine from the acclaimed Limarí appellation as having “a dry and infusion-like on the palate, it is light and smoothly textured with a hint of talc powder. This is a long-lasting, compact and refreshing Pinot from the northern terroirs of the Coquimbo Region“.
Concha y Toro’s flagship wine, Carmín de Peumo 2022, originates from the Peumo appellation. This exceptional wine received an impressive score of 96 points and was described as “Indulgent and rich, it presents a muscular palate, marked by a mild and corset-like mouthfeel with a lingering clingy texture. The 2022 is delightful, powerful and nuanced”.
In addition to these major recognitions in the report, there are also outstanding scores of 93 points for Marques de Casa Concha Heritage 2022, The Master 2022, and Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc 2023; and 92 points for Terrunyo Carmenere 2022 and Terrunyo Cabernet Sauvignon 2021.
