Decanter highlights Amelia among its November wine selection

Share

The British specialized media brand, Decanter, published its “Editor’s Picks” for November, including three vintages from the Concha y Toro Amelia line.

The regional editor for wines from Spain, Portugal, and South America for the wine magazine Decanter, Julie Sheppard, recently posted its “Editor’s Picks” article for November, where it highlighted the Ultra-Premium line by Concha y Toro: Amelia.

The writer, who met this past September in London with Concha y Toro Technical Director, Marcelo Papa, had a chance to taste the new vintages of Amelia Chardonnay and Amelia Pinot Noir, both leadings wines from the Limari Denomination of Origin.

“The new release of Amelia Chardonnay 2022 (93pts) combines poised, linear acidity with textured creaminess, bright citrus and a chalky mineral freshness, plus subtle tropical and citrus aromas. Amelia Chardonnay 2021 (95pts) has the same subtle tropical signature, but the extra year in bottle gives greater expression and harmony. There’s a tension to the creamy mineral palate, with mouth filling texture and great presence on the tangy, salty finish. Meanwhile, Amelia Pinot Noir 2021 (93pts) is a taut and refined red with an expressive nose of cherry, spices, raspberry and rose that will certainly continue to evolve in bottle”, explains Julie Sheppard.

These outstanding scores obtained by the Ultra-Premium line, Amelia, confirm its winemaking consistency and exceptional quality for the international press.
