Marcelo Papa leads vertical tasting of iconic vintages in New Jersey
Viña Amelia’s Technical Director hosted an exclusive tasting alongside wine critic Jesica Vargas, showcasing a selection of outstanding vintages of Amelia Quebrada Seca Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Marcelo Papa, winemaker and Technical Director of Viña Amelia, led an exclusive vertical tasting with Jesica Vargas, wine journalist and Wine Enthusiast critic for Latin America, presenting a selection of outstanding vintages of Amelia Quebrada Seca Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Held at Fogo de Chão restaurant in New Jersey, United States, the tasting offered an opportunity to share Viña Amelia’s evolution and consolidation over the past decade, establishing itself as one of the leading projects in the production of world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The tasting featured a journey through different vintages of Amelia Quebrada Seca Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, allowing participants to appreciate the evolution of these wines over time. Each vintage reflected an identity deeply shaped by the influence of the Pacific Ocean, the extraordinary luminosity of northern Chile, and the unique limestone-rich soils of the Quebrada Seca Vineyard. These exceptional conditions have forged a distinctive and consistent expression, positioning Viña Amelia as a benchmark within contemporary Chilean winemaking.
The event further reinforces Viña Amelia’s growing recognition among wine critics and key international markets. With an exclusive focus on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the winery has built a unique identity within the premium wine segment.
The tasting also took place during a new chapter for the brand, following its recent launch as an independent subsidiary of Concha y Toro Group. This milestone reaffirms Viña Amelia’s commitment to crafting origin-driven wines that faithfully express the exceptional character of the Quebrada Seca Vineyard while showcasing a unique vision of Latin American winemaking to the world.
