Matthew Luczy, the new wine critic for South America for the renowned specialised media Robert Parker Wine Advocate, visited Concha y Toro for the first time to get to know and taste the new vintages of our wines.
Matthew Luczy, who is the new wine critic in charge of tasting South American wines for Robert Parker Wine Advocate, visited Viña Concha y Toro in Pirque to learn about the wines in our portfolio and taste the new vintages.
Marcelo Papa, Technical Director of Concha y Toro, led the tasting, during which the best wines from our Limarí and Peumo appellations were presented. The wines tasted included Concha y Toro’s icon Carmenere, Carmín de Peumo, as well as Terrunyo Carmenere, Amelia Chardonnay and Amelia Pinot Noir.
“It was an excellent opportunity to meet Matthew Luczy and show him our great wines, which come from outstanding origins such as Limarí and Peumo. These terroirs, which bring together exceptional conditions and allow us today to produce world-class wines,” said Marcelo Papa.
To end the visit, they enjoyed a lunch in Pirque, prepared by the renowned chef Sergio Barroso, in charge of the Olam restaurant, who delighted us with a haute cuisine gastronomic experience based on fresh seafood and fish.
