Patrick Schmitt MW awards excellent scores to our Amelia line

The Master of Wine and editor-in-chief of the British publication The Drinks Business, Patrick Schmitt, assigned an outstanding 95 points to the 2021 vintage of our wines from the Luxury Brands portfolio: Amelia Chardonnay and Amelia Pinot Noir.
In the recent September edition of the British publication The Drinks Business, Master of Wine and editor-in-chief Patrick Schmitt published an article titled “Chile Outlook,” in which he highlighted the excellent wine expressions crafted by Chilean winemakers, stating, “Chile’s wine scene is not only improving but also becoming more inventive while simultaneously respecting its past.”
In his publication, he awarded outstanding scores to two labels from our Luxury Brands wine portfolio: Amelia Chardonnay 2021 and Amelia Pinot Noir 2021, which each received an outstanding 95 points from the critic.
Regarding Amelia Chardonnay 2021, it was described as a wine with “a spectacular nose featuring hints of roasted peach, toasted bread, pineapple, and peanuts. These aromas are characteristic of a very fine Chardonnay […] It is a wine with intensity and a long salty finish. It’s impossible not to want to drink it; it appears to be a slightly more refreshing version of the outstanding and reliable Amelia Chardonnay: Concha y Toro’s flagship white wine.”
On the other hand, Schmitt described Amelia Pinot Noir 2021 as a wine with
“intermediate ruby-red tones, featuring enticing notes of Morello cherry, dried herbs, and fresh toasted bread that evoke a fine Pinot Noir aged in barrels during its youth […]. It is a pleasure to drink, as it offers layers of delicate red berry fruits and a background of high-quality oak. Refined but not weak, with a plethora of persistent flavors that unfold as it lingers in the glass.”
These excellent results showcase the exceptional quality and winemaking consistency of our Amelia wine range, sourced from the Limarí Denomination of Origin, known as one of the best regions for high-end Chardonnay and Pinot Noir production.
