The Drinks Business journalist visits Viña Concha y Toro

Louis Thomas, senior staff writer at the specialized media magazine The Drinks Business, visited Viña Concha y Toro to learn about the company’s latest projects, terroirs, and new vintages. 

Louis Thomas,  journalist for the British specialized media The Drinks Business, is touring various Chilean wineries to compose the magazine’s upcoming report, “Chile Focus 2024.” 

During his visit, Louis Thomas visited Viña Don Melchor accompanied by its CEO and Technical Director, Enrique Tirado, who showed him the vineyard’s exceptional qualities, which give life to the iconic wine Don Melchor. 

Afterward, they went to Don Melchor’s Manor House, where Enrique led a complete tasting of three Don Melchor parcels, accompanied by Don Melchor’s 2021 vintage, which celebrates its 35th vintage today.  

Lastly, Marcelo Papa gave a detailed presentation on Amelia wines from the renowned Limarí Denomination of Origin, currently considered the best origin for producing high-end Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Louis had the opportunity to taste Amelia’s 2023 vintage, which will be launched on the market soon.
