The audit showed that Concha y Toro once again complies with environmental and social criteria that stand out in the wine tourism industry.

This year, Viña Concha y Toro’s Tourist Center in Pirque was audited by Preferred by Nature, giving it sustainable tourism certification again with 85.30% compliance in critical indicators. This certification verifies that the facility’s operational and management practices are in line with sustainability requirements and criteria. It should be noted that, in 2022, Concha y Toro was the first to obtain this certification for this category of tourism services in the world.

This recertification would not have been possible without the commitment and dedication of our Resort team, who have worked hard to ensure that practices are always sustainable and responsible.

Jazmín Adriazola, Head of Operations and Hospitality at Pirque Tourist Center, commented: “The first thing to thank the key people to make this work possible, Matías Holzapfel Global Ecommerce & Premium Retail Director, for providing importance and assignment to this Certification, secondly, to Jessica Morales from our Tourist Center’s Reservation Team, who has collaborated as Administrative Auditor for the second consecutive year, and finally the collaboration of the other departments.”

“Visualizing the transformation of the Center has been an honor, turning it into a unique, memorable and sustainable place has been a challenge, but when you work as a team and with defined sustainable policies it makes the work provide positive results” she added.

The Pirque Resort team was part of a rigorous and comprehensive assessment conducted by Preferred by Nature, including a review of relevant documents such as environmental and social management plans, policies, procedures and records.

An on-site assessment of the facilities and operations was also conducted to verify compliance with the sustainability criteria put into practice. In addition, this annual audit represents a valuable opportunity for the Resort to receive constructive feedback on its sustainable management system.
