The British Master of Wine, Tim Atkin, visited our vineyards in Limarí and Pirque to taste the new vintages of our Concha y Toro wines. Discover the details below!
As part of his tour of Chile to discover the new vintages for his Chile Report 2025, wine critic Tim Atkin visited us to learn about the latest developments in our wines.
The visit began in Limarí, the region from which our Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines originate. There, Marcelo Papa, Technical Director of Concha y Toro, led an interesting tour around the Quebrada Seca vineyard, followed by a tasting that included a wide selection of wines from our portfolio.
“It was very positive to welcome Tim to our Quebrada Seca vineyard, where we were able to show him firsthand the exceptional qualities of the climate and soil profile that make up this great terroir for the production of high-end Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Being able to dive into the different soil series of our vineyard and how this diversity contributes to creating very interesting flavor profiles and structure in our wines was something we were very pleased to share with Tim,” says Marcelo Papa.
On another day, Tim Atkin traveled to our Casona in Pirque, where he tasted wines from the Maipo Andes appellation, with an emphasis on the Cabernet Sauvignon wines from our Terrunyo, Marques de Casa Concha, and Concha y Toro The Wine ranges. He also had the opportunity to taste the new vintages of our Carmenere from Peumo, including Carmín de Peumo, Terrunyo Carmenere, and Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere.
Tim Atkin’s next Chile Report, for 2025, will be available in the coming months.
