Viña Amelia achieves the highest James Suckling score in its history

With 98 points, Amelia Quebrada Seca Chardonnay 2025 achieves the highest James Suckling score in the brand’s history and secures its position as the Top 1 Chardonnay of Chile from the 2025 vintage.

As part of James Suckling’s annual tasting of Chile’s latest releases, one of the most influential wine publications in the world, Amelia Quebrada Seca Chardonnay 2025 reached a historic milestone by earning 98 points, the highest score ever awarded to the brand by this renowned wine critic.

The 2025 vintage was praised by Zekun Shuai, Senior Editor at James Suckling, who described the wine as: “This is an elegant chardonnay with hidden depth and a touch of creaminess. Really subtle and delineated, with a low-key profile. Super chalky, substantial and fine on the palate, and the elements are quite integrated, with a lot of fine, salty flavors. Really fine-boned and subtle. A world-class chardonnay and clearly one of the best from Chile.”

The 2025 vintage of Amelia Quebrada Seca Chardonnay originates from Blocks 8, 9 and 11A of the Quebrada Seca Vineyard, an extreme site located in the Limarí D.O., Limarí Valley. This exceptional origin is defined by the direct influence of the Pacific Ocean and soils rich in calcium carbonate, conditions that give rise to wines of remarkable freshness, tension and minerality.

This milestone for the brand reaffirms the extraordinary potential of Quebrada Seca as an extreme origin for crafting world-class Chardonnay and further establishes Viña Amelia among the leading international benchmarks for the variety.
