Amelia Chardonnay maintains its leadership as the Best Chardonnay in Chile

The 2024 vintage of Amelia Chardonnay received, for the third consecutive year, an outstanding score of 93 points from the prestigious U.S.-based wine publication Wine Spectator, consolidating its position as the highest-rated Chardonnay in Chile.

The renowned and influential American media outlet Wine Spectator recently published a new recognition for Amelia Chardonnay, reinforcing its track record of excellence as one of the major references for this varietal, originating from an extreme terroir in northern Chile.

Aaron Romano, Senior Editor at the publication, described the 2024 vintage as a wine: “Engaging and expressive, this white shows a complex mix of sweet pea and wildflower honey, with notes of clove and almond shortbread that meld into a generous and succulent core of baked apple, brûléed pineapple and Meyer lemon, while a thread of minerality extends the finish, adding a flash of toasted sesame seed.”

This new recognition adds to the 93 points achieved by the 2022 and 2023 vintages—the highest score ever awarded to a Chilean Chardonnay by this influential publication—reaffirming the excellence and consistency of one of Chile’s most awarded Chardonnays.

Amelia Chardonnay faithfully reflects the unique character of its origin: the Quebrada Seca vineyard, located in the acclaimed Limarí Appellation, at the edge of the Atacama Desert and just 23 km from the Pacific Ocean. The combination of climate, soil, and Pacific Ocean influence gives rise to wines of extraordinary quality, and Amelia Chardonnay stands out as the perfect example of how an exceptional terroir can transform into a wine that captivates with its freshness, minerality, and elegance.
