With outstanding scores of over 94 points, Carmín de Peumo ended 2020 positioning Carmenere as a high-end variety, capable of competing with the world’s great wines.
National and international media praised this wine and variety for staying one of Chile’s most relevant reds. Carmín de Peumo stands out for being an elegant, complex wine that delicately expresses the New World’s rich fruit.
Our 2018 vintage received 98 points in Descorchados 2021 and 95 points in LA CAV, where it won the award for Best Carmenere. It also received 94 points from American critic Robert Parker, who said that “Carmín has always been produced with grapes from the same, soil-specific plot, around three hectares, making this unique character and colored wine. In the mouth, it flows and ends with a spicy note of paprika with excellent persistence”.
Our 2017 vintage received 96 points from British journalist Tim Atkin and 95 points from James Suckling, who also highlighted this vintage at number 54 in his ranking Chile’s Top 100 Wines.
