Carmín de Peumo ranked as one of the “Top 100 wines of 2021”

In its Winter Edition, the US magazine Wine & Spirits praised Carmín de Peumo 2018 as one of the “Top 100 wines of 2021” and Chile’s best Carmenere. These recognitions add to the 94 points awarded by the publication last October.

“The blend includes about five percent (Cabernet Sauvignon from Pirque and Franc from Puente Alto) aged 15 months in mostly new French oak barrels, where it develops extravagant scents of espresso-roast coffee. Still, the oak is only a background note to the bright avors of blackberries, fresh scents of green herbs, and red peppercorn spice. The wine’s satin texture has a dynamic feel, carrying the flavors through a lasting finish. Built for cellar keep.” —Joshua Greene.
