“…The blend includes about five percent Cabernet (Sauvignon from Pirque and Franc from Puente Alto) aged 15 months in mostly new French oak barrels, where it develops extravagant scents of espresso-roast coffee. Still, the oak is only a background note to the bright flavors of blackberries, fresh scents of green herbs and red peppercorn spice. The wine’s satin texture has a dynamic feel, carrying the flavors through a lasting finish. Built to cellar.” —Joshua Greene.
