Alongside winemakers Marcelo Papa and Marcio Ramírez, Concha y Toro presented its new vintages to Chilean wine specialist journalist Patricio Tapia.
On Thursday, October 26, Concha y Toro showcased the new releases from its Premium, Super Premium, and Ultra-Premium wine lines to renowned journalist Patricio Tapia, author of the acclaimed Descorchados Wine Guide.
The tasting took place in Tunquén, Chile, and included the participation of Concha y Toro’s Technical Director, Marcelo Papa, and winemaker Marcio Ramírez, who presented around 25 labels to the wine critic, which will feature in the 2025 edition of the Descorchados Chile Guide.
“We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Patricio, tasting the new vintages of our wines. Undoubtedly, these new harvests displayed remarkable winemaking consistency and a strong sense of origin, reflecting the prestigious appellations from which they come. We saw significant progress in the Amelia Pinot Noir 2023, Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc 2024, and the reds from Maipo, such as Marques de Casa Concha Heritage 2022 and Terrunyo Cabernet Sauvignon 2022,” comments Marcelo Papa.
The 2022 vintage of Concha y Toro’s iconic Carmenere, Carmín de Peumo, a standout of the D.O. Peumo, was also presented. The journalist praised this new vintage for its more elegant profile, concentration, and the finesse and precision of its tannins.
