Remarkable scores for Concha y Toro’s Sauvignon Blanc in Wine Enthusiast

Gravas del Bío Bío Sauvignon Blanc 2019 and Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc 2019 received an excellent 91 points in the Shopping Guide of the prestigious publication Wine Enthusiast’s May edition.

Wine Enthusiast journalist Michael Schachner, who specializes in tasting wines from Chile, Argentina and Spain, gave 91 points to Gravas del Bío-Bío Sauvignon Blanc 2019 from the Bío-Bío Valley emphasizing the wine’s “citrus and green melon aromas include a touch of matchstick, while this southerly SB is bold, fresh and wellbalanced, with depth to the palate. Peppery green apple, lime and melon flavors finish steady and minerally.”

On the other hand, Schachner gave 91 points to Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc 2019 defining it as a wine with “crisp, citric aromas are pure and minerally, with only the slightest hint of prickly green herbs. A fresh, wholesome palate is crystalline and bright, balanced by a mix of citrus, green herb and peppery flavors. A long and cleansing finish rides a beam of lively acidity.”

These scores continue to consolidate Gravas and Terrunyo as a solid range of wines whose character and style is a reflection of the particular terroir they come from and demonstrates Concha y Toro‘s potential as a world-class wine producer.
