The specialized media outlet Vinous recently published its 2025 report on Chilean wines titled “Maule: The Magic of Old Vines and a Stylistic Reinvention in Chile.” In this context, Concha y Toro’s high-end portfolio received outstanding scores.
In the 2025 edition of the report, Amelia Chardonnay 2023 achieved an impressive 96 points, making it the highest-rated Chardonnay of the entire report. Critic Joaquín Hidalgo described it as:
“It delivers expressive aromas of praline, cream, green apple and subtle notes of wet stone and lime. The palate is creamy yet taut, with medium tension and vibrant freshness. Though less weighty than the 2022, this is more agile and precise. Elegant and nuanced, it finishes with lingering impressions of oak and fruit. Without a doubt, this is among the finest whites from coastal Chile.”
Meanwhile, Amelia Pinot Noir 2023 scored 95 points, making it the highest-rated Pinot Noir of the 2023 vintage. Also from the Limarí Valley, Vinous highlighted it as:
“Focused aromas of raspberry, cherry and redcurrant are joined by notes of black tea and fresh red fruit. The palate is slender yet silky, with a fine grip from the stems and a delicate texture. This has elegance and clarity, with a clean, fruit-driven finish. This vintage refines the style, emphasizing precision and finesse.”
Adding to these recognitions, Carmín de Peumo 2023, Concha y Toro’s iconic Carmenere, earned 94 points. According to Hidalgo, this vintage “shows more precision and less roundness. It is defined by energy rather than smoothness”. Meanwhile, The Master 2023 received 93 points, further cementing its position among the company’s top-tier offerings.
Finally, the Terrunyo line received 91 points for its Sauvignon Blanc 2024, Carmenere 2023, and Cabernet Sauvignon 2022.
These recognitions reinforce Viña Concha y Toro’s commitment to excellence, winemaking consistency, and the great potential of Chile’s terroirs—standing out in one of the world’s most respected wine publications.
