The prestigious American publication Wine Spectator awarded 93 points to the 2023 vintage of Amelia Chardonnay, a recognition that positions it as the highest-ranked Chardonnay from Chile in this renowned wine magazine. 

Amelia Chardonnay, part of Concha y Toro’s high-end portfolio and sourced from the Quebrada Seca vineyard in the prestigious Limarí appellation, has clearly demonstrated the great potential of this terroir for the production of high-end Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. 

The 2023 vintage, made 100% from Chardonnay, stands out for offering a more ethereal, refined, and tense profile, characteristics derived from the exceptional qualities of the soil and climate at the Quebrada Seca vineyard. 

This new vintage of Amelia Chardonnay was rated 93 points by the prestigious Wine Spectator magazine, with Senior Editor Aaron Romano describing it as: “A complex and layered white, with spiced pastry, toasted almond and verbena notes that join an energetic, lingering core of clove-laced baked apple and grilled lemon. Finishes with nice length and a salty, minerally freshness centered on the core flavors.”

It is important to highlight that Amelia Chardonnay is the only Chilean wine to have received 93 points in this specialized publication — the highest score ever given to a Chardonnay by the magazine — making it the top-ranked Chardonnay from Chile and the leader of the 2023 vintage of Chilean whites in Wine Spectator.
