Terrunyo Carmenere 2024 stands out in leading international competition
The 2024 vintage of Terrunyo Carmenere was awarded 93 points and a Silver Medal at the 2026 Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), the world’s largest wine competition.
Concha y Toro Fine Wine ultra-premium Carmenere from the Peumo vineyard in the D.O. Peumo, Cachapoal Valley, was recognized with 93 pts and Silve Medal in the 23rd edition of the DWWA—one of the most influential and prestigious wine competitions globally.

Each year, the awards bring together more than 18,000 wines from nearly 60 countries, blind-tasted by a panel of over 250 world-class experts, including Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, and leading wine journalists. In this edition, Terrunyo Carmenere 2024 was described by the publication as: “Fruit driven character with nuances of supple forest fruit seasoned by cocoa notes. Toasty palate, ambitious style, refined and precise”.
This distinction reaffirms Peumo as one of the leading terroirs for Carmenere in Chile, giving rise to expressive wines that faithfully reflect the character of the variety, and consolidating Terrunyo Carmenere 2024 as one of the leading references for Carmenere in the country.
