1- WHAT IS A VEGAN PRODUCT?

It is a product that does not contain any inputs of animal origin, considering all production and processing phases.

Moreover, vegan certification solidifies the company’s commitment to being transparent and clear with respect to the absence of animal products in the creation of its products, as it has been subject to audit by an independent organization that has verified that its products are truly vegan.

2- WHAT IS THE V-LABEL CERTIFICATION?

It is an internationally recognized vegan seal of Swiss origin. In Chile, the certification is given by the group Vegetarianos Hoy, a foundation with exclusive license to certify products in Chile and other Latin American countries.

When asked about this extraordinary news, Marcio Ramírez, head winemaker of Peumo, commented: “Personally, I have been advocating for certification for several years. The wines I have the pleasure of producing have been vegan suitable for some time now. Obtaining this seal reaffirms and recognizes the work we have done in this area, but above all, the seal facilitates communication and helps consumers identify and easily recognize the wines on the shelf, so that they may make an informed and responsible purchase. There are increasingly more of us around the world looking for a healthier lifestyle, that is respectful towards animals and the environment, and this seal goes hand-in-hand with that global trend.”

The V-Label certification once again confirms Concha y Toro‘s commitment to sustainability.
