The Ucúquer Vineyard is located on the southern bankof the Rapel River on a ravine near to the river mouth at an altitude of 170 metres above sea level. Situated at just 15 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, it receives a strong maritime influence. The Sauvignon Blanc vines are clones 1 (45%), 530 (35%) and 159 (20%) and are vsp-trained.

AGING
6 months in stainless steel tanks.
SOIL
The soils are granitic with a high red clay and quartz content, poor in organic material and have good drainage.

MAX WEINLAUB
Max Wienlaub has a Degree in Agriculture from the University of Concepción, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Wine Production from the University of Chile. In 1999 and 2000, he participated in the wine harvest at La Crema Winery, (Santa Rosa, California, USA) and Franciscan Estates (Oakville, California, USA). He joined Concha y Toro in 2000, and over the years he has been involved in the production of wines for the Casillero del Diablo, Trio and Marques de Casa Concha lines.
