The member of the Viña Concha y Toro Family of Wineries won its category in the 13th annual Green Awards, which were launched to bring attention to drink companies that go above and beyond to reduce their impact on the environment.

Concha y Toro was recognized by the prestigious British publication The Drinks Business, as a company with a strong impact on environmental protection.

The winery was named among the winners of The Drink Business Green Awards 2022, who were announced in a live ceremony held at The Club at The Ivy, in London, this past Tuesday, November 29th.

 Concha y Toro Wins the Amorim Biodiversity Award

This award recognizes the importance and impact of ongoing care for biodiversity on environmental protection. Concha y Toro has a sustainability strategy focused on developing regenerative practices in order to make a positive impact, that is, to give back to the land and community more than it is given. One of the strategy’s initiatives is in the area of Biodiversity.

In this sense, it implements regenerative practices for the soil, flora, and fauna, and incorporates the protection and reproduction of native woods, while also participating in the E-Bio Atlas biodiversity inventory.

Since 2020, the company has been working on a project known as Agricultural Ecosystem Management (GEA, for its acronym in Spanish), which aims to create a new agricultural model that incorporates protection and conservation measures for the biodiversity of flora, fauna, woodlands, and soil.
