Viña Concha y Toro welcomes the Gold Pig team to Pirque
Seyoung Park, owner of Gold Pig, and Chef Sukyoung Park visited Viña Concha y Toro to discover its wines, gastronomic offering, and wine tourism experiences as part of a ProChile-organized program aimed at promoting Chilean gastronomy, wine, and products in international markets.
Viña Concha y Toro welcomed the team from Gold Pig to Pirque, one of South Korea’s most prestigious pork BBQ restaurants and a leading name in contemporary Korean gastronomy.

The delegation was led by Seyoung Park, CEO and owner of Gold Pig in Seoul, together with her brother, Chef Sukyoung Park, who visited Chile as part of a program organized by ProChile to strengthen the international positioning of Chilean pork and promote the country’s gastronomic, wine tourism, and agri-food offering.

Renowned for its exceptional approach to premium pork, Gold Pig has established itself as one of South Korea’s most influential restaurants. Awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction since 2019, the restaurant has also been recognized by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants and La Liste, consolidating its position as a benchmark in contemporary Asian gastronomy.

During their visit to Viña Concha y Toro, the delegation toured the Wine Center, where they learned about the winery’s history, heritage, and traditions through its sensory experience and cultural tours in Pirque.
The visit continued with a wine-paired lunch at Bodega 1883, led by Executive Chef Tomás Saldivia, who presented a menu specially designed to showcase the dialogue between gastronomy and a selection of the winery’s wines.
The experience concluded at Casa Don Melchor, where the delegation visited the historic residence and learned about the legacy behind Don Melchor, Chile’s iconic wine and one of the leading expressions of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon, recognized as Wine Spectator’s No. 1 Wine of the Year.

The visit represented a valuable opportunity to strengthen ties with one of South Korea’s most prestigious culinary projects while showcasing the excellence of Chilean wine, gastronomy, and wine tourism to key opinion leaders and influential figures within the international culinary scene. Through initiatives such as this, Viña Concha y Toro continues to promote Chile as a destination where wine, gastronomy, territory, and hospitality come together to create world-class experiences.
