JAVIER SOLARI Casillero del Diablo, Marques de Casa Concha

Javier Solari is an Agronomist of Universidad Mayor and from an early age, a wine lover. In the year 2000 he did the Wine Production and Technology Diploma in the Universidad de Chile. That sorne year he obtained the Enologic degree awarded by the Engineers Association of Agronomists Oenologist.

He did his professional practice in Concha y Toro’s Puente Alto cellar, where he worked with renowned Chilean winemakers and took advantage of the opportunity to learn from them. After that, he decided to explore further and work in the US, specifically for Willamette Valley Vineyards, in Oregon.

Once in Chile, he worked as chief winemaker for the Anakena and La Fortuna wineries and, in 2005, assumed as Technical Manager of Viña Casas del Toqui.

Javier has been working with Viña Canepa since 2008 and over this period has done a fantastic job.
Today, Javier is also in charge of different wines for Casillero del Diablo and is part of the winemakers team of the company’s Super Premium brand, Marques de Casa Concha.

Mr. Melchor de Concha y Toro spread the rumor that the Devil lived in his winery. No one could ever confirm the existence of the keeper of their cellars. Today, the legend lives on.
