The ideal dinner for New Year's Eve celebrations

Share

The holiday season is fast approaching and what better a way to celebrate than with the best wines and sparkling wines. Here are some excellent pairing ideas to complement your end of year celebrations and welcome in 2021 in the best way possible.

If one thing is certain, it is that good food and wine should always be at the center of any celebration, even more so on special occasions like Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Therefore, we invite you to add some cheer to your celebrations with some exquisite pairings to say farewell to 2020 and welcome in 2021 with a toast with some outstanding wines and cocktails.

A sparkling wine for starters

No matter what the occasion for celebration, toasting with sparkling wine always awakes certain captivating emotions. That is why we recommend you to make the first toast of the night with Casillero del Diablo Devil’s Collection Brut. Its unique and innovative style is ideal for those who know how to enjoy every moment in the best company and relax in a pleasant and fun atmosphere.

This outstanding sparkling wine is ideal for accompanying appetizers of fresh fish and / or seafood, and also combines perfectly with Japanese food, especially sushi.

 Wine: the key to success?

When serving the main course, it is important to select a wine that enhances the flavor of the food. So, if you have in mind seafood, cheeses, white meats such as rabbit, turkey, pork, or light legume-based dishes or mild, coconut milk-style curries,  Marques de Casa Concha Chardonnay is a great choice. It is an excellent wine with a complex, elegant and vibrant light-yellow color, with delicious notes of white pear, minerals and toasted hazelnuts. This concentrated wine has a silky texture and layers of ripe pear and figs, plus mineral flavors and a long, vibrant finish.

 Finish off with a rosé

To end your dinner, we recommend Rosé Concha y Toro. Dry on the palate, it is unctuous,  with mineral, fresh and delicate notes that culminate in an extraordinary harmony.

Due to its versatility, this wine is ideal to pair with fresh cheeses, tomatoes, white fish ceviche and even with some desserts, such as chopped fruit. Likewise, it is capable of breathing life into an infinity of cocktails such as Rosé Tonic. Unsure how to prepare it? Follow our step-by-step recipe that we will present to you along with Jungla!

  • Rosé Tonic: an unmatched freshness

The ingredients you need are raspberries, half a lemon, 60 ml of Rosé Concha y Toro, 30 ml of Gin, ice, 120 ml of tonic water and 2 cucumber slices.
